I realise...everyone is actually having a PAID job at the moment, with a lot of stress on the word PAID here. Whereas I'm doing 2 jobs where I'm not paid. And the company which I worked for for 2 days hasn't paid me either.
I seriously wonder if they will pay me. They said they will, but on the other hand, I did break the contract. Then again, there was no written contract at all. Tricky stuff...
Should I hound them? Or is it my fault?
Worries aside, I'm back at the office again, since I need to replace two days from last week. The weird thing is...no one seemed to expect me to be around.
This is a weird and worrying day.

Whoo hoo! I have a lot of tasks to complete today, so no more slacking around online from now on! The day seems to pass faster this way, and my eyes don't get so tired. That's rather important, because I've gotten my contact lenses now!
So...this person who feels very focused and important now is going to spend a fruitful day editing textbooks and correcting them! Bye!
Oh..one dumb thing that happened yesterday - I spent 2 hours worrying about my eyesight and my contact lenses after I left the shop...because I put the wrong lens in the wrong eye. Haha, that is just so....me.

Why is it that zinc and sulphuric acid does not combine to give you zinc sulphate?
Hello, it's yet another day at the office. Well, I guess it's justifiable that people on work attachment don't get paid - they SERIOUSLY don't do anything at all. I must admit, everything that I've taken these 4 days to do so far could have easily been completed in 2...oh well.
Everyone is out at a branch meeting today, so there only me for a whole department. Guess..I shall just have to amust myself..haha.
The shortest term of employment on a cruise is 3 months. Isn't that a bit too long?

You know, the study which found that at least 1 hour of office time each day is spent blogging may be horribly accurate. Haha, at least they didn't add the time spent on msn messenger, because that would be even more shocking.
On attachment in the Geography Cirriculum Planning Unit at MOE at the moment, which means you'll probably see that I will have enough time to blog long entries each day. I get my own laptop and workspace, nicely barricaded against the rest of the world by high partitions. I'm not complaining, it's fun! I also have to say that this is the first "job" that I feel...cherished..by the company..haha. The drawback is that I'm not getting paid, but then again, it's too nice a job for me to complain about that. The working hours are actually quite long, from 8.30 to 6, which is kind of surprising actually...One funny thing is that I cannot go to the toilet at my own free will..I have to borrow a pass from other people..sob..
My other unpaid job is to go down to takashimaya after this work attachment to accompany a friend at his job...which I guess means that I am actually wasting my time because I'm not getting paid, if you look at it in a practical way. Then again, I guess what most people say at this time is - it's the experience that counts?
Mrs Tan-Chua is working here - met her yesterday. It's interesting how everyone in the Geog department knows Miss J..haha, like she's a hero or something with Geography!!
